    What is Chinese Medicine?

      Modern science is finally beginning to take an interest in traditional healing. Chief among these is Chinese Medicine, which has been studied, practiced, and refined for over 5000 years. This simple but profound medicinal system emphasizes maintaining and increasing our vitality, energy, and spirit through the integration of numerous complimentary healing modalities.  Dr. Gideon Enz is qualified to practiced Chinese Medicine through both the International Institute of Medical Qigong, and the Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Medical Qigong

Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy is a comprehensive method of healing that enables a skilled therapist to adjust a patient’s life-force energy. By utilizing the principles of cleansing, tonifying, and regulating, Medical Qigong resolves disease patterns and brings about a consistent state of well being.

Chinese massage

    An excellent method for releasing physical or emotional stresses and addressing postural imbalances, Chinese massage includes techniques that release muscle-fascia channels, purify and strengthen internal organs, and harmonize the flow of Qi - the body’s life-force energy.

Herbal Therapy

    Herbs are humanity’s oldest form of medicine - their use dates back over 100,000 years! Properly employed, herbs can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or as a powerful adjunct to other healing modalities. Dr. Enz integrates Chinese, Indian, and Western systems of herbal therapy to address both acute and chronic conditions. Herbs are usually in prepared pill form or in loose combinations for tea.

Moxibustion

    Moxibustion gently uses the warmth from burning herbs to energize general areas or specific points. Primarily used to treat deficiency and chronic diseases, moxibustion is also known for is ability to relieve difficult stagnations such as arthritis.

Cupping Therapy

    Cupping Therapy uses physical and energetic suction to draw deep toxins out to the surface of the body. Usually applied to the back, cupping is an excellent method for dissolving acute or chronic tensions in the spine, shoulders, and internal organs

Prescription Exercises

    Hands down the most effective and unique therapy that Dr. Enz has to offer. After each session, Dr. Enz prescribes personalized exercises and meditations that are specifically designed to aid each person in taking control of their own health and vitality.

 

 

What does a treatment involve?

    After an initial evaluation, Dr. Enz uses a combination of Medical Qigong Therapy and Chinese Massage to dissolve disease patterns by addressing symptoms and their root cause. He also uses Moxibustion and Cuppping Therapy as adjuncts in some cases. At the end of the session, you will normally receive personalized qigong exercises and/or herbal formulas.

    Patients typically report relief from a variety of ailments such as headaches, arthritis, chronic fatigue, general stress, localized pain, sprains, and traumatic injuries.
