Dr. Gideon Enz has been practicing yoga, taiji, qigong, and
meditation for the past twenty years. He is set apart from other
teachers by his expertise in distilling the essential elements of
martial, medical, and spiritual training into practical and easy to
understand techniques. Teaching students how to seamlessly blend these three elements
- the common foundation for the
world’s most ancient traditions - into a modern practice of personal
cultivation is the theme and focus of Gideon’s work.

Working from a deep understanding of the integration of body,
breath, and mind, Gideon blends expert coaching in practical
techniques with a relaxed teaching style that mixes ancient
tradition with modern technique and flow. Classes often mix
conventional postures with strength drills, partner work,
visualization and meditation techniques, and light-hearted
explanations that enrich the students’ understanding of how
stillness and movement work together. Gideon’s unique workshops
are an opportunity to explore topics in greater depth and refine
specific skills, while receiving personal attention.

Triloka - noun, Sanskrit: literally "three worlds", used to refer to the tri-fold nature of reality
Triloka denotes the three
spheres that a yogin may set out to master: medicine,
spirituality, and martial arts
Triloka represents the synthesis of the three
"worlds" of Himalayan yoga: Indian yoga, Chinese
yoga, and Tibetan yoga.
Triloka also refers to the steps of training that are
common to each of these systems: physical training, breath
training, and mind training.

| Medical qigong
is closely linked with the modalities of acupuncture and
Chinese herbology, and it is commonly used as an adjunct to
Western medicine in China and abroad.
Practitioners of medical qigong first train to
enhance their own life force energy (qi),
later learning to sense and directly influence the qi of
another person to bring about a state of health
and vitality.
Triloka's carefully designed training modules ensure that graduates have the ability to create a personal and professional practice based on the solid foundation of Chinese medicine. In addition to their diploma from Triloka, graduates of the 200 hour and 500 hour curriculums qualify for certification with the NQA (National Qigong Association). Triloka offers CEU's for acupuncturists |
One of the
world's most ancient systems of self-development, yoga
uses postures, breathing, and meditation to dissolve
stress, heal common illnesses, and lighten the spirit. The simple
non-sectarian practices of
yoga have gained global accolades for their
accessibility and efficacy. Triloka yoga educates individuals beyond the performance of postures, training them to utilize the breath and mind in exercises that unlock and harmonize latent human faculties. Covering a wide range of practices and styles, the Triloka yoga training curriculum meets and exceeds the 200 and 500 hour teacher training standards set by the Yoga Alliance. Triloka offers CEU's for yoga teachers |
Taiji
quan
(also known as tai chi) is simultaneously one
of the softest and most powerful of all martial arts.
Emphasizing internal principles learned by performing a
slow "solo" form, taiji has become popular in
the western world for its convenience and for its numerous
health benefits, such as
increased strength, muscle tone, balance, and
relaxation. In the Triloka training system, taiji is taught as a martial art as well as vehicle for learning principles of integrated movement. The curriculum first covers the Yang style 36 posture solo form, then progresses through two person sets, martial applications, and internal training. After 500 hours, students will have the opportunity to apply for sifu (master instructor) training. |
